Puzzle Games
Puzzle games or problem solving. These are games that some people might confuse with exams but you get a greater sense of achievement on finishing. The mind sports has had events for Mechanical Puzzles and Puzzle Design in the past. Unfortunately many of these events have a language bias (always set in the official language of the MSO which is English). This has not stopped some of our more polyglottic competitors from taking part in and even occasionally winning these events. As most of these tests require constant invigilation and large amounts of time to set and mark accurately only some of them have been consistently present in the Tournament. Some of the puzzles almost warrant a category of their own such as Memory, Speed Reading and Mind Mapping.
