Psychological Games
Psychological games are games where the information from a player’s moves is less important than the reactions given out by their body language. Being able to read an opponent can be useful in any game as it helps you work out their responses and what they might have spotted that you have not yet seen. Two disciplines in the Mind Sports have a critical psychological element Mastermind and Poker. Where there are large elements of luck and to get an edge requires being able to work out what your opponent has without any information other than their body language. Remember it is also necessary to try and hide your real reactions as well as read those of others. Deception and bluffs can be more important than luck.
