Go is the oldest board game in the world. Believed to be over 4000 years old is second only to Oware for age. It is regarded as the most complex of games with the 361 intial opening moves still making the game well beyond the currnet computer programs. The game has a great deal of etiquette and history. The ultimate combination of shape and concentration. It can still have the emotiuons run high. One top level match is recorded as 'black lost by an illegal move' but this was a polite way of saying black threw the board on the floor! The grades can be a little confusing as you start off trying to derease your kyu to 0 before trying to up your dan (as in martial arts). There are two dan ratings professional and standard so you can be mislead.
